I lie about my __________. Number one Google search answer? It’s not what you think.

AGE!

I have a lot of friends that lie about their ages - one has celebrated her 40th three times.

I am going to be honest here. Sometimes, I look in the mirror and I don’t like what I see (wrinkles and sagging skin). I fret over my body aches or how difficult it can be to fall asleep when my mind is overactive.

Aging comes with feelings of fear, shame, guilt and even denial.

I want to help change that. Because something else is also true: with age comes wisdom—and giving fewer F*CKS.

Here’s what I know in my 50’s thatI didn’t know in my 20s, 30s or even 40s:

✅ Being your own best friend matters the most- say nice things to yourself when you’re alone; no one else can hear you.

✅ Do what you love. Life is short- I feel so lucky to have found my purpose. There is so much joy in watching people transform their bodies and minds. Take the chance. If you never try, you’ll never know.

✅ Healthspan is more important than lifespan. We are living a long time, let’s help each other do it healthier.

✅ Your inner environment is up to you. Things are so much easier when we let everyone around us be exactly who they are. If you need to feel different, do something different (I like dancing to change my mood).

✅ Apologize and forgive. Let’s normalize making mistakes and learning from them.

✅ Not everyone is for you and that’s ok- people who are meant to find you, will. Trust the process.

✅ When you’re feeling helpless, help someone. It’s the best way to take the focus off what is ailing you.

Aging is ok when we live more intentionally and enjoy the ride. Let’s all find out….
